Easy, powerful long range Wi-Fi
BearExtender Outdoor is a long range Wi-Fi booster for Microsoft Windows computers. It combines a high power Wi-Fi amplifier and a high gain 10 dBi directional antenna inside a durable IP65 certified water and dust resistant enclosure. This is our first generation 2.4 GHz-only model. Due to FCC limits on dual band technology, it still has the longest 2.4 GHz range of our Outdoor Wi-Fi products, but is not 5 GHz capable like our new Bearifi Outdoor AC. BearExtender Outdoor extends the Wi-Fi signal only to the computer for which it's USB cable is plugged into. It is not a repeater or router.
BearExtender Outdoor's rectangular case without tripod measures a compact 7.5 x 4 inches.
Suitable for RVs and boats
Use BearExtender Outdoor to turn weak Wi-Fi signals into stronger, more reliable connections.
It mounts easily using the included velcro strap, or pole mounting band and can be placed up to 16 feet away from your computer thanks to the integrated 16 ft shielded USB cable.
For indoor use, it comes with a detachable tripod stand for easy placement on the desk next to you or in a nearby window sill. BearExtender Outdoor is compatible with computers running Microsoft Windows Vista, 7, 8/8.1 & Windows 10. Not compatible with Windows RT, also not compatible with Mac OS).

IP65 Certified water and dust enclosure
Our specially designed case is IP65 certified to ensure the internal components stay dry even in the harshest weather conditions.
Every BearExtender Outdoor is also pre-treated with an anti-UV and anti-corrosion protective coating. This coating further protects BearExtender Outdoor from extreme UV rays and salt corrosion.
Re-application of a UV protectant is recommended every 6-12 months depending on location and the level of exposure to sun and weather elements.
Versatile mounting options
BearExtender Outdoor can be mounted and positioned outdoors in three different ways for maximum placement and performance.
- Tripod mount: The detachable tripod mount folds and expands quickly enabling you to setup BearExtender quickly on a table top or any flat surface.
- Velcro strap: A 12-inch removable velcro strap on the tripod can be used to quickly mount BearExtender Outdoor to small poles, tree branches, or metal railings.
- Adjustable metal pole mounting band: Ideal for mounting BearExtender Outdoor to larger poles up to 3 inches in diameter. Tightens and loosens with any standard screw driver. No special tools required.
Tripod can be collapsed and detached for storage and traveling. Velcro strap can be used to secure BearExtender Outdoor to small poles and railings. BearExtender Outdoor's rectangular case without tripod measures 7.5 x 4 inches.
High gain directional 10 dBi antenna
BearExtender Outdoor features an integrated 10 dBi directional antenna that focuses all power in one direction. This also reduces interference coming from other directions while further increasing the sensitivity.
By comparison, standard omnidirectional antennas (like car radio antennas) receive interference from all directions, decreasing range and throughput. BearExtender Outdoor’s 10 dBi directional antenna can be pointed directly toward the Wi-Fi router or network you are connecting to like a parabolic satellite dish.
The included metal pole mounting band is suitable for poles up to 3 inches in diameter. Adjusts easily with any standard screw driver, no special tools required.
Integrated premium shielded 16 ft USB cable
Because Wi-Fi signals travel furthest when an antenna is placed higher in the air, BearExtender Outdoor includes a built-in 16 ft USB cable for optimal placement.
Proper placement allows Wi-Fi signals to carry over ground level sources of interference, such as other wireless devices transmitting and receiving wireless signals. The thicker shielded cabling prevents signal loss along the length of the cable.
Plugs into any USB 2.0 port. Backward compatible with USB 3.0 and older USB 1.1 ports. USB 1.1 ports may require additional power.

Where to use BearExtender Outdoor
Camping
Many RV parks have free Wi-Fi access but the access points are located near the park office. This makes it difficult to get good signal reception on your laptop from inside your RV. With BearExtender Outdoor, you can aim it out a window in the direction of the hotspot. Or use our mounting equipment or strap to put it outside your RV for even better reception.
Boating
Boating is a great way to relax, but you still need Internet access. Many marinas and shoreline hotels offer free Wi-Fi, but picking it up from hundreds of feet away over open water can be a challenge. BearExtender Outdoor mounts to many surfaces on your boat to help increase your Wi-Fi range. With its IP65 certification and factory applied anti-UV and anti-corrosion protective coating, your BearExtender Outdoor is designed to last for many fun weekends out on the water.
At home
If you live on a large property and are trying to get Wi-Fi access on your PC in one building from another, forget about expensive outdoor antennas and trying to determine correct fittings for antenna extension cables. BearExtender Outdoor is an easy to use all-in-one solution. Mount it outside your window and aim it toward the main building. It can even be used indoors on the far side of a large home to reach to the other side.
