Our 5 dBi omni directional antenna upgrade is designed to help you pick up even more signals. This 5 dBi gain rated omni directional antenna helps you pick up different networks than the standard 2 dBi antenna. 

 

Compatible with BearExtender PC, BearExtender PC v3, BearExtender Mini, BearExtender Mac.

 

 

This is because gain ratings are not computed linearly.

 

Because our 5 dBi upgrade has a different sensitivity pattern than our 2 dBi antenna, the 5 dBi upgrade will pick up different networks than the 2 dBi one. 

 

The 5 dBi upgrade will pick up some signals better than the 2 dBi antenna, while picking up some signals worse than the 2 dBi antenna.

 

Compatibility

Generally, the 5 dBi upgrade picks up more signals, with higher signal percents than the 2 dBi antenna. Please see the example test below.
